FL4000H Multi-spectrum IR Flame Detector
The FL4000H is an advanced multi-spectrum infrared (MSIR) flame detector that provides superior false alarm immunity with the widest field of view. The FL4000H employs a multi-spectral optical IR sensing array with a sophisticated Neural Network Technology (NNT) system to reliably discriminate between actual flames and the vast majority of false alarm sources. The FL4000H detects typical fires such as alcohol, n-heptane, gasoline, jet fuels and hydrocarbons. It can also see through dense smoke produced by diesel, rubber, plastics and lube oil fires.

Senscient ELDS™ Open Path Gas Detector
The Senscient ELDS laser-based open path gas detector is available for a wide range of toxic and flammable gases. The Senscient ELDS uses 'SimuGas' self-testing to eliminate employees entering hazardous areas for gas checks. Nuisance false alarms are virtually eliminated with its breakthrough Harmonic Fingerprint processing.
The SUPREMATouch features a large colour touchscreen display with a title-based menu structure to optimize intuitive operation. It can be used with a wide range of detectors for combustible gas, toxic gas and oxygen deficiency. Output options include relays and 4-20 mA outputs. Remote racks can be connected (satellite structure), which expands control systems and reduces cabling costs. Interfacing to external systems is provided by using Modbus or Profibus. IR400 Point IR Gas Detector
The IR400 Infrared (IR) Point Detector is a hydrocarbon gas detector that continuously monitors combustible gases and vapors within the lower explosive limit (LEL) and provides alarm indication. It features an industry-leading response time of less than 3 seconds, even with a splash guard installed. All electronics are contained within an explosion-proof housing so that the IR400's detector information can be processed locally. Configurations with analog output, Modbus and HART are also available.
The Ultima Controller is purpose-designed and built to provide complete access to all advanced features of the Ultima and Ultima X Gas Monitors, as well as the Toxgard II Gas Monitor. SM5000 Sampling Module
Built for safety programs that demand gas concentration measurement before allowing entrance to an area, the SM5000 Sampling Module is exclusively designed to work with the Ultima X5000, Ultima XE and General Monitors S5000 gas monitors. Ultima® XIR Gas Monitor
The microprocessor-based, infrared Ultima XIR gas detector is precisely engineered to continuously monitor for combustible gases and vapors. The unit features DuraSource Technology, which offers improved IR life, and a HART port for easy output access. The explosion-proof stainless steel monitor works indoors or outdoors and features infrared technology that eliminates the need for frequent calibrations. Its operations are based on dual-wavelength, heated-optics technology, which compensates for temperature, humidity and aging effects. The unit uses only one circuit board for increased reliability, and the sensor life isn't reduced by exposure to gas. The LCD screen provides scrolling information, while optional quick-check LEDs provide increased visibility.
Zero Two Series Gas and Flame Detection System
Modular system offering the widest range of control cards for use in an integrated fire and/or gas detection system. The Zero Two Series system can monitor any combination of the following: combustible gas, H2S, toxic gas, ultrasonic, oxygen deficiency and flame detection. In addition, its open architecture allows the system to accommodate other sensing devices for tasks such as smoke detection, heat detection and manual call points.
610A Four Channel Combustible Gas Monitor
The 610A is a system for continuously monitoring combustible gas (hydrocarbon) concentrations in four locations. The system consists of four General Monitors remote catalytic bead sensing assemblies and a solid-state controller. The controller features four independent channels, each having its own circuitry. The 610A features a digital display of gas concentrations in % LEL (0-99% lower explosive limit) for each channel.
Catalytic Bead Sensors
The General Monitors catalytic bead gas sensors are well known for their sensitivity, reliability and longevity and make them the first choice for most users of the catalytic oxidation gas detection principle. Every component is manufactured in-house to ensure optimum performance. Careful matching of the active and reference elements ("beads") result in a sensor that has negligible zero drift with respect to changes in humidity, pressure, and temperature.
IR5500 Open Path Infrared Gas Detector
The IR5500 is an open path infrared (IR) gas detector that continuously monitors for flammable gas leaks over large open areas. It monitors in both the LEL-m and ppm-m ranges to detect both small and large leaks. H2S Gas Sensors and Accessories
General Monitorsʼ hydrogen sulfide (H2S) sensors are solid state devices, designed and manufactured for long life and fast response. They are selective to H2S and remain unaffected by high concentrations of other substances like hydrogen, sulfur dioxide, and gasoline vapors, which are often present in facilities that process sour gas and crude oil. A high tolerance to a broad range of temperatures and humidity enable these sensors to operate in rugged environments, as does their capacity to withstand exposure to high H2S concentrations over short periods.
Advanced design and innovative features make the 9010 and 9020 Controllers the top choice for gas-warning systems, monitoring up to 20 channels. The 9010 Controller operates with one independent sensor, while the 9020 operates with two independent sensors per control module. Each module comes with an independent AC/DC power supply for increased system reliability. Both units feature full internal diagnostics, which minimize false alarms and unexpected down time. The controllers can also power remote sensors, while the large four-digit LCD and LED provide such crucial information as gas concentration, alarm status and more. A convenient RS-485 serial interface offers handy printer connection to make a record of data, while a customized transmission protocol Modbus RTU can record serial bus data transmission such as system configuration, gas concentration, alarm and failure events. The LCD version has approvals for FM (North America) and CCCF (China) whereas the newest 9010/9020 SIL controller is ATEX and SIL 2 certified.

Instantly detect pressurized gas leaks with this high-precision, omni-direction acoustic detector utilizing Gassonic ultrasonic technology. Works even when traditional methods of gas detection are unsuitable or dependent on ventilation. Features Artificial Neural Network (ANN) technology that distinguishes between real gas leaks and false alarm sources without requiring any in-field training. The Observer® i UGLD provides an industry-leading detection range (up to 28 m) reducing the number of detectors required. Ideal for use in complex, outdoor pipeline systems.
RGC - Remote Gas Calibrator for Catalytic Bead Sensors
The Remote Gas Calibrator (RGC) allows calibration gas to be applied to a remotely located catalytic bead sensor from an easily accessible location. The RGC is used for blocking ambient air and redirecting methane to the catalytic sensor for calibration or testing sensor accuracy. The RGC tests or calibrates the General Monitors catalytic sensor with 50% LEL methane. The unit is capable of calibrating gas at wind velocities up to 50 mph. The RGC is used manually with a pressure regulator (P/N 80146-1) and is suitable for calibrating with any light hydrocarbon.
TL105 Test Lamp
The TL105 is a battery operated test lamp designed specifically to test General Monitors Flame Detectors. The TL105 is an explosion-proof test lamp that can be used with the FL4000H MSIR flame detector as well as any of the FL3100 Series Flame Detectors. The TL105 operates up to 35 feet from the flame detector.
PrimaX® IR Gas Transmitter
Every feature of the PrimaX IR Gas Transmitter is designed with reliability in mind to withstand the most challenging environmental conditions through out the product’s life. MSA’s PrimaX IR Gas Transmitter offers LEL (Lower Explosive Limit) combustible gas detection through a patented PrimaX Gas Transmitter IR dual source design. A redundant IR source provides reliability and uninterrupted monitoring should a source failure occur. Furthermore, the possibility of obscurations due to rain, fog, dirt, dust, and other environmental conditions is minimized due to dual source design.
1701 Portable Test and Calibration Unit
The 1701 is a portable test and calibration unit used to verify the operation and calibrate certain ultrasonic gas leak detectors. Although the detectors do not require regular maintenance, the 1701 can be used to satisfy the requirements for regular plant maintenance. Further, the 1701 requires no electrical connection to the gas leak detector but is simply placed over the sensor head of the gas leak detector.
MultiGard™ 5000 Multipoint Gas Sampling System
The economical, efficient MultiGard 5000 Gas Sampling System uses auto-standardization and flexible sample point order to analyze gas from up to 32 locations. Maintenance and calibration are made easy because all the work is performed at a single location, while also ensuring personnel don't have to enter the monitored area. The unit directly connects to Modbus TCP/BACnet IP networks, which allows communication to other equipment or controllers. The system allows secure viewing at one's personal computer. The screen provides easy access to scroll-down menus and visual indicators of sensor condition.
Z-Gard® DS Sensor
The Z-Gard DS Sensor is designed to detect the presence of carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide gases in parking garages, vehicle storage areas or wherever else these two toxic gases could be found. These sensors employ electrochemical sensors which generate a representative output signal proportional to the calibrated operating range. All Z-Gard DS Sensors are available with 2 output versions, a 4-20mA analog output, or an addressable RS-485 digital signal. Z-Gard Sensors with RS-485 digital output are specifically designed to operate as a system with any Z-Gard CXII or C 485 Controller. Z-Gard Sensors with 4-20mA can be installed as stand-alone sensors typically integrated with the Z-Gard C Controller, or common commercial equipment including PLC, DCS, or building automation systems.
Ultima® X Series Gas Monitors with X3® Technology
The Ultima X Series Gas Monitors with X3 Technology bring the power of multi-sensing, signal boost and ModBus output to the Ultima X line of MSA gas monitors. The units are crafted from either stainless steel or NEMA 4X-rated plastic, and our patented SafeSwap sensor disconnect-underpower feature allows all sensors to be replaced in hazardous areas without area declassification. The interchangeable smart sensors eliminate the need for reconfiguration, while the use of one circuit board increases reliability. Each sensor can be placed up to 3,000 feet from the monitor, while the scrolling LCD screen displays sensor reading and gas type.
S4000CH Combustible Gas Detector
The S4000CH Intelligent Sensor is a microprocessor-based transmitter designed for use with General Monitors industry-leading catalytic bead sensors. It monitors combustible gases and vapors within the lower explosive limit (LEL) and provides status indication and alarm outputs. Complies with ANSI/ISA 12.13.01-2000 performance requirements for combustible gas detectors. This product has been replaced by the S5000 Gas Monitor. MC600 Multi-Channel Controller
The MC600 is a microprocessor-based multi-channel controller that provides six channels of continuous gas detection. It can be configured as either a local gas detection system, or it can be networked to provide a large plant-wide distributed safety system. It is compatible with our hydrocarbon sensors, H2S sensors, as well as our S4000CH, S4100C, S4000TH, S4100T, IR400, IR5500, IR700, TS4000H, Observer, and Surveyor gas detectors.
FL3100H UV/IR Flame Detector

The FL3100H is an Ultraviolet / Infrared flame detector designed to detect fires and provide alarm outputs directly from the detector while maintaining false alarm immunity. 580A Dual-Channel Combustible Gas Monitor
The 580A is a compact, highly-versatile system for continuously monitoring combustible gas (hydrocarbon) concentrations in two locations. The system consists of two remote catalytic sensing assemblies and a solid-state controller. The controller automatically displays the higher reading channel on a digital display, scaled from 0-100% LEL (lower explosive limit). Manual override switching permits readout of the low channel at any time.
S4000TH H2S Gas Detector
The S4000TH Intelligent Gas Sensor is a microprocessor-based transmitter designed for use with General Monitors' thin film metal oxide semiconductor (TFMOS) sensors to detect H2S gas. The unit features one person calibration and can virtually self-calibrate by simply activating a magnetic switch and applying gas. It detects hydrogen sulfide in 0-20 ppm, 0-50 ppm or 0-100 parts per million (ppm) levels over a wide temperature range. This product has been replaced by the S5000 Gas Monitor. IR4000S Single-Point Gas Monitor

IR700 Point IR Carbon Dioxide Gas Detector

The IR700 Infrared (IR) Point Detector is a microprocessor-based carbon dioxide gas detector that continuously monitors for CO2 in ppm levels. All electronics are contained within an explosion-proof housing so that the IR700's detector information can be processed locally. The IR700 operates with a 4-20 mA signal, which is proportional to 0 to 100% full scale. Configurations with analog output, Modbus and HART are available. Modbus and HART data can be used for predictive maintenance.
IR4000S-CO2 Single Point Gas Monitor

Surveyor Ultrasonic Gas Leak Detector
The Surveyor detects gas leaks by sensing the airborne ultrasound emitted from leaking gas at high pressure. Ultrasonic gas detection is based on robust and proven Gassonic technology and designed for long and failsafe operation in extreme environmental conditions. Because the Surveyor responds to the source of a gas release rather than the dispersed gas, it is unaffected by changing wind directions, gas dilution, and the direction of the gas leak.
